Water harvesting to mitigate farming drought

Farmers in Africa rely mostly on the rains to till their lands, plant and grow their crops – food production is hampered when the seasons fail.

In Ghana, the drought period has become frequent and farmers need more than the services of the weatherman to go into crop cultivation.

In this report, Kofi Adu Domfeh assesses the plight of local farmers and shares the experience of other economies on access to water for food production all year round.
